Clary Sage - an uplifting and balancing essential oil

Clary Sage is an uplifting essential oil with a distinctive herbaceous and woody scent that blends well with most essential oils. This oil is especially great for use during times of worry as it has a strongly uplifting yet soothing effect on the mind.

Clary Sage is also said to be very balancing for women during hormonal changes.  Often recommended and used as an oil to help get through transitional periods, from labor to menopause. However, do not use this oil during pregnancy.

Clary sage was used and highly esteemed as a herbal remedy in the Middle Ages and used in perfumes for the aristocracy!

How to use

DIY TIP – In times of worry, try soaking in a warm bath containing 2 drops of Clary Sage, 2 drops of Geranium, and 3 drops of Lavender, all diluted in a teaspoon of Peach Kernel oil.

It is important to remember that whilst essential oils are being used, it is wise not to drink alcohol. This is particularly applicable when using Clary Sage.

Do not use Clary Sage during pregnancy - it is however an extremely useful oil during childbirth. Use in moderation at all times.
