The finest variety of black pepper
Tellicherry peppercorns are a type of high-quality black pepper that comes from the Malabar Coast of India, in the state of Kerala. These peppercorns are considered some of the finest and most sought-after in the world. They are larger than average black peppercorns. They are left on the vine longer, allowing them to grow larger and develop a more robust flavor. Each peppercorn will be of size more than 4mm as we select only carefully graded Organic Tellicherry Garbled Extra Bold variety.
Tellicherry peppercorns are a true gourmet's delight, offering an unparalleled depth of flavour and aroma. They have a bold and aromatic taste with a distinct citrusy and fruity note. The flavor is often described as well-rounded and pungent. These peppercorns can elevate the flavour profile of a wide range of dishes, from hearty stews and roasts to delicate sauces and marinades. Grind them fresh for maximum flavour and aroma, or use them whole for a striking visual appeal.

Usage
Peppercorns are versatile and can be used in various ways to add flavor and depth to your dishes. Here are some common methods for using peppercorns:
Ground Pepper: The most common way to use peppercorns is to grind them into pepper powder using a pepper mill or grinder. This freshly ground pepper has a more vibrant flavor than pre-ground pepper.
Whole Peppercorns: Add whole peppercorns to soups, stews, and sauces. They release their flavor slowly, infusing the dish with a mild, peppery taste. You can remove them before serving if you don't want to bite into them.
Pepper infused oils and vinegars: Create flavored oils or vinegars by adding whole peppercorns to them. Allow the peppercorns to steep in the liquid for a week or two to infuse the flavor. Use the infused oil or vinegar in salad dressings or for drizzling over dishes.
Pepper Crusts: Crush or grind peppercorns and press them onto the surface of meats like steak or fish to create a pepper crust. This adds a bold flavor and texture to the dish.
Pickling: Add whole peppercorns to pickling brines for vegetables or fruits. They contribute a subtle spiciness to the pickled items.
Marinades: Include ground or crushed peppercorns in marinades for meats. The pepper will enhance the overall flavor of the dish.
Baking: In some baked goods, a pinch of freshly ground black pepper can enhance the flavors. This is often used in recipes like gingerbread or chocolate desserts.
Seasoning at the Table: Provide a pepper grinder on the dining table for individuals to season their dishes to taste.
Beverages: Some cocktails and mocktails benefit from a hint of black pepper for added depth. Experiment with adding a few freshly ground peppercorns to drinks.
Homemade Spice Blends: Mix ground peppercorns with other spices to create your own custom spice blends for rubs, marinades, or seasoning mixes.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Once opened, transfer the contents to an air tight container to retain the texture and aroma.
