Iron is an essential trace mineral required from the diet to help ensure good health. Its main function is as a constituent of haemoglobin and is sited predominately in the spleen, liver and bone marrow. Haemoglobin carries oxygen around the body to the cells. In the cells oxygen is required to release energy from food, so Iron is necessary for growth and development especially during childhood.

Menstruating women also have a special requirement for Iron. Bio-Healths Extra Iron has 150mg of Vitamin C added to may aid the absorption of the mineral and its incorporation into haemoglobin. Copper has also been included in the formulation. This formulation has been designed to make it easily absorbed to give full use of ingredients.

The herbal ingredients are wherever possible sourced from organic, wild crafted (non-threatened species) or cultivated plants. All the herbal raw materials conform to accepted scientific standards, British Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia and British Herbal Pharmacopoeia.

Dosage

1 capsule daily swallowed with water or capsule contents can be sprinkled on food if preferred.

For ideal assimilation, take two each morning and two each evening.
