Hyperidrine® St John’s Wort is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to relieve the symptoms of slightly low mood and mild anxiety, based on traditional use only. While it was previously thought the benefits of St. Johns wort were due to hypericin, other constituents have now come into play such as hyperforin, and flavonoids.

The herbal ingredients are wherever possible sourced from organic, wild crafted (non-threatened species) or cultivated plants. All the herbal raw materials conform to accepted scientific standards, British Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia and British Herbal Pharmacopoeia.

Ingredients

St John`s Wort, Hypromellose (Capsule shell). This capsule shell is made from hypromellose.

Dosage

Take 1 capsule up to 3 times a day swallowed with water. For oral short term use only

Duration of use

If the condition worsens or if symptoms persist for more than 6 weeks medical advice should be sought.

Contraindications

Do not take if:

• Hypersensitivite to St John’s Wort or any of the excipients.
• you are suffering from depression.
• your skin is exceptionally sensitive to sunlight (photosensitive).
• you are having light treatment (phototherapy) for any condition.
• you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• you are under 18 years of age.
• you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

People with a history of manic-depressive illness (bipolar disorder) or a less severe condition known as hypomania, should avoid use of St. John`s wort as it may trigger a manic episode.

Hyperidrine should be discontinued at least 10 days prior to elective surgery due to the potential for St.John’s Wort to interact with drugs used during general and regional anaesthesia.
