Periagna is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to help relieve premenstrual symptoms such as irritability, mood swings, breast tenderness, bloating and menstrual cramps. Based on traditional use only. Agnus castus also supports hormonal balance, which can be pivotal during menopause.

Agnus castus contains several constituents, including flavonoids, iridoid glycosides, and terpenoids. The whole fruit extract, rather than one of its individual constituents, appears to be necessary for the activity of agnus castus.

The herbal ingredients are wherever possible sourced from organic, wild crafted (non-threatened species) or cultivated plants. All the herbal raw materials conform to accepted scientific standards, British Pharmacopoeia, European Pharmacopoeia and British Herbal Pharmacopoeia.

Ingredients

Agnus castus fruit (Vitex agnus castus L).

The capsules are hard, clear, oblong and contain a dark brown powder.

Dosage

Take 1 capsule two times a day, morning and night, swallowed with water. Maximum daily dose 2 capsules.

As treatment effects may not be apparent immediately, the product may need to be taken up to 3 months continuously.

Duration of use

If symptoms persist, worsen or do not improve after 3 months use of PERIAGNA, a doctor or a qualified healthcare practitioner should be consulted.

Contraindications

Do not take if:

• You are allergic to any of the ingredients
• You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
• You are under 18 years of age.
• You have a history of, or are suffering from a current pituitary disorder.

Patients who suffer or suffered from an oestrogen-sensitive cancer should consult their doctor before using the product.

Patients who are using dopamine agonists, dopamine antagonists, oestrogens and antioestrogens should consult their doctor before using the product
