Effectively Soothe and Reduce Ear Pain, Itching and Inflammation
Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops effectively soothe and reduce ear pain, itching and inflammation of the outer ear canal. These specially formulated drops contain Glycerol, which has a soothing effect and an anti-inflammatory action which reduces swelling in the ear canal (by removing water) thus alleviating associated pain, and Lidocaine, a surface anaesthetic to further reduce ear pain.
When to use
Use to soothe and reduce ear pain, itching and inflammation of the outer ear canal, which can be caused by day to day factors including:
- Regular exposure to water from activities such as swimming
- Prolonged wearing of ear pods and headphones
- Ear wax build up
- Some chemicals in shampoos and shower gels which can damage the natural membrane protecting the outer ear canal.
Can Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops be used if you suffer with tinnitus?
If you are suffering from tinnitus or any other ear problem you should not use Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops unless under supervision from your doctor.
Can Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops be used with a hearing aid?
If you are using a hearing aid then you should not use Cl-ear Ear Relief Drops unless under supervision from your doctor.
Can Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops be used with grommets?
No. Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops are only for use in the treatment of ear pain, itching and inflammation of the outer ear canal where the eardrum is intact.
Ingredients
0.5% solution of lidocaine hydrochloride in glycerol (anhydrous)
Directions for use
Use when you have hardened or stubborn ear wax that needs removing quickly and effectively.
- Tilt your head to one side with the affected ear facing up.
- Avoid touching the ear with the nozzle and do not put the nozzle into the ear canal.
- Hold the nozzle away from the ear and gently squeeze 2 drops into the ear.
- Keep your head tilted for a few minutes so that the drops can flow into the ear canal.
- Wipe off any excess liquid with a clean tissue.
- Plug the ear lightly with cotton wool after application if required. It is necessary to protect the ear with cotton wool when used in children.
Use the drops three times a day for up to 3 days. If symptoms persist consult a doctor.
Safe for adults of all ages and children 5 years and older (children under the age of 12 should receive a medical diagnosis before using). If you are pregnant or breastfeeding consult your doctor before using.
Do not use Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops if:
- In children under 5 years of age
- If you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients in Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops.
- If the eardrum is damaged (eg chronic otitis media).
- If you are immediately after surgery or surgical treatment in the ear
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are using any other medication in your ears.
- In case of prolonged pain or swelling caused by inflammatory conditions with bacterial or fungal basis.
- In case of ear discharge – leakage from the ear.
- If symptoms intensify or there is no improvement after 3 days of using the drops, or if you have a fever.
- Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops should not be applied to the ear with a hearing aid fitted, instead apply the drops one hour before the hearing aid is fitted into the outer ear canal.
- The manufacturer does not recommend the use of other medicinal products/medical devices in the form of drops or sprays during the use of Cl-ear Ear Relief Ear Drops.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are using any other medication in your ears.
Keep out of reach of children. Store in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, at a temperature of 15°C and 25°C in an upright position. Protect from frost and do not store in the refrigerator.
