In collaboration with our most dedicated coffee growers, we select only the 1% of the best Arabica coffee beans, perfecting our process to create the unique illy blend: the ideal balance of nine types of Arabica coffee from more than 30 countries around the world. The 1% is no mere detail, but the cornerstone of a tale of quality and sustainability.
Ground coffee can be brewed in various ways, from Espresso to Americano. Each time it is a unique aroma and experience.
Espresso as multi-sensory awakening
A delightful espresso: the eyes sense it first. Thick, unbroken hazelnut-hued crema – that light-brown layer on top – painted by tiger stripes, darker brown. Next, aromas bring a sweet and complex tease, full with notes of chocolate, toast, honey and caramel. Telling taste: "Here is something special." Finally, the sip. Sweet, velvety, full bodied – a passing hint of bitter: here, then gone.

We could offer you every region, roast and blend under the sun. But we’d rather give you the perfect one. So we’ve spent eight decades refining a singular, signature blend - celebrated the world over as the pinnacle of what coffee can be.
Our bold Intenso espresso coffee is a dark roast and has a pleasantly robust finish, with warm notes of cocoa and dried fruit.

Caffeine content not higher than 1.5%
Preparation
Warm up the coffee pot for a few minutes, filling it with hot water then use 7-8g (about a tablespoon) of ground coffee for about every 100-150ml (about 3.3-5oz) of water. The amount of coffee can be adjusted to your taste, or to the machine manufacturer’s recommendations.
