A Type 2 Support Bandage

K-Lite Bandage is a type 2 support bandage. Light support bandages provide support for soft tissue injuries and some oedema control. Light weight, high twist yarns are incorporated into medium weight bandages to offer minimal regain, resistance, and light support, but deliberately excluding all compressive type action.

It also acts as a base for compression. The fibre construction and 2–way stretch offers a high level of comfort and conformability. The bandage maintains its original position with no slippage and can be used in the treatment of venous leg ulcers, light support for sprains and strains, and retention bandaging.

93% Viscose, 4% Nylon and 3% elastomeric yarn

Usage

The bandage should be applied in a spiral over the dressing to secure it in place. For compression bandaging it is applied in a spiral with a 50% overlap. The bandage may be left in place for up to a week or at the discretion of the clinician. It can be used for the following:

• For the treatment of Venous Leg Ulcers (2nd layer of K-Four multilayer bandage system)
• Light support for sprains and strains
• Can be used for retention bandaging
