Plastic Free LoofCo is inspired by cleaning methods & designs that have been tried and tested over generations, before plastic took over! Replaces mass-produced plastic washing-up brushes, sponges, pads and shower pads that will not biodegrade. LoofCo Washing-Up Pads are hand-made in Egypt from the gourd of Luffa Aegyptiaca plant with Egyptian cotton string hanging loop. An ingenious and traditonal use for a loofah, this is a 12-16cm wide slice across middle of the loofah gourd. 8cm high. Average size 13x8cm. As an unstitched slice of natural loofah gourd, size may vary, but all are selected for optimal efficacy.
To Use: It may appear abrasive when dry but when immersed in water, the washing-up pad swells to become a circular spongy flexible pad, soft enough for non-stick pans, supple enough to fit into mugs. Fits neatly in the hand. Use in warm water with washing-up liquid or LoofCo Washing-Up Soap. To keep loofah fresh between uses, rinse, squeeze out excess water, shake out any food particles & hang to dry from the cotton string loop. Occasionally wash in the washing machine or by hand. Last for months and when worn out can be composted.
