We don’t make it with the same production process we use for our other products, which involves breaking down the starch into natural sugar. Instead, this one leaves that process to you. As soon as this no-sugar product touches your tongue, your body starts breaking down the carbohydrates into sugar because that’s how all food containing natural starch works in the human digestive system. This makes this a Do-It-Yourself “sweetened” Oatly that leaves you with a less sugary taste. Sweet.
WHAT'S AMAZING
You can drink it in your coffee, tea, or on its own, cook or bake with it and use it in any way you would have used cow’s milk in a previous lifetime. It has fiber, vitamins, and calcium to complement your meal, and you can store it at room temperature for 270 days or so before opening. No dairy, no soy, no nuts, “no” sugar, and yes, amazing taste.
WHAT MIGHT BE LESS AMAZING
To make it perform like cow’s milk, we’ve added an acidity regulator, but we think the amazingness of being able to enjoy this product in whatever way you’re used to far outweighs any less amazing part. BTW, we would never put anything in our products that isn’t absolutely necessary or absolutely approved for consumption.
