Also known as Indian Gooseberries, amla powder, is derived from amla berries are the world’s highest antioxidant-rich food and highest ORAC value product - 261,500 - (excluding spices). Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a diuretic, amla berries are also known to relieve insomnia and even resolve scalp issues. 

ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity and is a unit of measurement for total antioxidant capacity. It was developed by the National Institute of Aging (NIA) at the National Institute of Health (NIH). The higher the value, the higher amount of in vitro antioxidant activity. The ORAC value is based on 100g servings, and just for reference, raw blueberries have an ORAC value of 4,669! Compared to blueberries, Amla berries have 50x the amount of antioxidants! This is due to the high amounts of Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, found in the berries. 1tsp of our Organic Amla Berry Powder contains 42mg of whole food Vitamin C!
