The Softener Pack is designed to remove limescale and hardness from 'very hard' tap water. Softer water leaves your kettle and appliances cleaner for longer.
We are here to provide a solution to an ever increasing single-use plastic problem. In the pursuit of clean and tasty water, millions of filter cartridges go to landfill each year. In 2019 we decided to put an end to that by creating the first refillable filter cartridge. Traditional filters don't fit through the letterbox, that leads to missed deliveries and second attempts which increases the carbon emission of the delivery cycle. As we only have to send the filtration granules, they are designed to fit through the letterbox.

Why the softener pack
Hard Water: Some areas have high levels of calcium and magnesium in the water due to the bedrock in the area being made up of limestone and chalk, this makes the water 'hard'.
Soft Water: Soft water doesn't stick to kettles and kitchen fixtures as the heavy minerals have been removed.
Removes contaminants: Built to remove heavy metals, chlorine and common particles that influence the smell and taste of water.
Softens very hard water
GREAT TASTE: Removes bad taste and smell from tap water.
REDUCES HARDNESS: Softens very hard water by reducing calcium and limescale build up.
COCONUT SHELL CARBON: Activated carbon from coconut shell adsorbs common UK tap water nasties like lead, chlorine & copper.
BUILT FOR TEA AND COFFEE: Focused on calcium and magnesium (hardness) reduction. Only recommended for people with very hard water and persistent limescale issues.
Filter Options
The Alkaline Pack with added Magnesium - Enjoy the benefits of magnesium enriched hydration. Our Alkaline pack maintains the calcium content, increases magnesium and pH. Removes Lead, Copper and Chlorine.
The Clean Pack for moderately hard water - The Clean Pack is designed for hard water. Enjoy softer water and less limescale build-up on appliances. Removes Lead, Copper and Chlorine.
The Softener Pack for extremely hard water - The Softener Pack is designed for 'very' hard water. Enjoy softer water and less limescale build-up on appliances. Removes common UK tap water contaminants.
Filter formula
Certified to European Standard EN17093 for Lead, Chlorine, Nickel, Copper, Geosmin and 2-4-6 TPC removal.
A full run of the reservoir generally takes 4-6 minutes. Each filter refill lasts 200 litres (44 gallons) or 45 days, whichever comes first.
Troubleshoot
Blocked cartridge/filtering too slowly
Don't worry if your cartridge gets blocked. All you need to do is remove the cartridge from the reservoir, and run the tap onto the bottom of the cartridge. This is due to some of the media getting stuck in the grid.
Leaking cartridge
If you find that there's water leaking down the side of the cartridge, there are few simple steps to follow to rectify this. Make sure the gasket is placed onto the cartridge in the correct place. Twist the cartridge into the reservoir.
Filtering too quickly
If you feel that your water is filtering too quickly, remove the cartridge lid and press more firmly onto the blue grid to make sure the carbon felt is secure in the lid.
Leaking out the side of the jug
Do you find that sometimes water leaks between the reservoir and the glass jar. Make sure that the black gasket, is placed correctly on top of the glass jar. Twist the reservoir onto the glass jar with the gasket on it.
