En Root is a Brixton institution. This hot sauce has a cult following and represents a fusion of flavours from the Caribbean and India. Tired of vinegar heavy hot sauces in the market, we decided to take matters into our own hands, brewing our first batch in March 2016 for our customers at En Root. Seriously hot, seriously tasty and regularly described as one of the best chilli sauces in the country.
The perfect all-purpose, all-complementary Scotch bonnet sauce. An outrageously tasty blend of fresh red Scotch bonnet peppers, Kesar mango and fragrant Gujarati spices.
Spice Level: MEDIUM (8% Scotch Bonnet)
Ingredients
Water, tomato, red onion, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, kesar mango pulp, scotch bonnet pepper, red pepper, tomato puree, dates, rapeseed oil, garlic, salt, cumin, coriander, turmeric, black pepper
Directions
Shake well before use. Use in recipies to add a kick to your dish, or as a condiment to spice things up
Store in a cool dry place, once opened keep refrigerated and use within 12 weeks.
