In 2020, fueled by our experience, knowledge, and an unwavering passion, we fearlessly embarked on a quest to revolutionise the world of plant-based food. We joined forces with PhD and Master's students in Food Tech and Chemistry and professors from different Universities in Estonia, to set out to create the ultimate plant based sunflower seed products: protein powerhouses, spreadable goodness, and even dairy alternatives. And that's how SUNFLY was born! Our grand ambition is to bring healthy and nutritious plant-based products, packed with sunflower seed protein and nutrients, to every corner of the globe.
We start by gently washing the sunflower kernels to ensure they're squeaky clean, just like you would with any vegetables and fruits. Then, we give them a gentle roast to bring out their flavors. Finally, we mix them with our special ingredients to create a range of delicious flavors that will tantalize your taste buds.

WHY SUNFLOWER SEEDS?

When I used the sunflower as an ingredient in baking, why did it turn green?
If you've noticed your baked goods turning green when using sunflower seeds as an ingredient, don't worry! Sunflower seeds contain a natural antioxidant called chlorogenic acid, which reacts with baking powder and baking soda. To prevent the green color, try reducing the baking soda and/or powder by 1/3 or add a teaspoon of lemon juice.
Why is there oil on top of my butter?
The oil you see on top of the jar is completely natural. During our grinding process, the sunflower kernel's oil rises to the surface over time. Should it occur simply give it a good stir before enjoying.
What are Monoglycerides and Diglycerides?
These are food ingredients derived from sustainable vegetable oils. We use them to create a smoother texture in our products, providing you with a delightful eating experience.

Uses
